Annual AGM
It's that time of the year again!
The Comox Valley Canoe Racing Club AGM will take place by Zoom at 7:00 pm on Thu Nov 21, 2024. You can find the AGM Notice here and our Team Cowboy site. There will be a draw for 6
prizes from local businesses for AGM attendees.
Are you willing to serve your club by volunteering for a one-year term on the Board of Directors? The commitment required for a rewarding and enjoyable experience is to attend a 1.5-hour board meeting once per month where you will participate in discussions about sustaining and continuing to build our outrigger paddling community. Most board members will also take on an additional project to help develop and enhance our club.
In recognition of the effort that Directors put into their roles, Directors will be compensated for their annual CVCRC membership dues.
In accordance with the club bylaws all board positions are open for nominations and election each year. This year we will have 3 vacancies: Vice President, Treasurer, and Membership.
Nominations for all positions are welcome till November 3, 2024:
President: Rupert Wong, incumbent
Vice President: Vacant, seeking nominee
Secretary: Kerri Brownie, incumbent
Treasurer: Vacant, Shaun Frazer, retiring – Vacant, seeking Nominee
Membership: Ben Dorrington, transitioned. Current nominee: Val Johnson
