Join the tradition of outrigger paddling

Discover the joy of outrigger paddling in the Comox Valley! Whether you're an experienced paddler seeking competition or a beginner looking to get into the sport, our club welcomes all level of paddlers. Rooted in Polynesian tradition, outrigger canoeing is a sport of balance, teamwork, and connection. The outrigger, or "ama," provides stability as we navigate through wind and waves, bringing the canoe to life.

Our club, nestled in the scenic Courtenay Airpark Marina, is competitively focused, but welcomes recreational paddlers. With dedicated men’s, women’s, and mixed teams, and a recreational group for those focused on fitness and enjoyment, our club provides a range of opportunities to paddle, compete, and build lasting friendships.

Your first practice is free, so why not give it a try? Learn more about our club and membership, check out our paddlers pathway and reach out through our contact page for next steps.

We are grateful for the opportunity to play in the traditional waters of the K'ómoks First Nation.
